During the height of the pandemic, home visits to children and families were largely replaced by video meetings and phone calls. Even when home visits are again safe in all circumstances, will practice remain the same as it was pre-Covid, or are there positive changes brought about by the pandemic that will remain in the longer-term?
This session will explore:
- How home visits and direct work have changed as a result of the pandemic.
- The importance of digital professionalism and online safeguarding when using new online tools to communicate with children and families.
- How the coronavirus will affect home visits and direct work in the longer term. Will digital technologies become a substitute for some in-person communication and visits?
