LEGAL LEARNING SESSION: Evidencing your decision making in written and oral evidence to children’s court proceedings

11:30 - 12:45

It is often said that judges, not social workers, decide whether children remain at home or move into public care. But while judges make the final decision, they don’t make those decisions in isolation.

This legal session will identify how social workers can produce written evidence for court and then give an oral account of this evidence in court. Attend to learn:

  • What appropriate evidence is and how it should be included in written court reports
  • How to provide a balanced account of the decision-making process, and how decisions have been reached
  • Learn how to deliver evidence in court proceedings to ensure decisions are understood and why

Please note there is a fee of £29 + VAT to reserve your place at this session.
Early Bird price: £24 + VAT if booked before 30th August 2019
